My 2018 1SS (build date 11/17) had it, starting at just under 1200 miles. I had TSB 18-na-355 performed at 1463 miles, now have 1720 miles, and the car is like a whole 'nuther animal. Shifts are quicker, crisper, and more positive. I live in north central Florida, and the GM corporate line is that the old tranny fluid is hydroscopic, and when it starts absorbing moisture that's when the shudder starts. Makes sense since it gets pretty humid here. The new fluid and flush tool was sent to the southeast dealers first as they said that's where more of the shudder issues originate. Keeping my fingers crossed.

There are plenty of people with 2018s who commented in many
treads that they have shudder also. Do a search. Better yet, buy the Manual Trans. |

Same can be said for non forum members that own 2018s with A8s especially built after March 2017 that haven’t had issues or had issues that have been resolved.

Does anybody have a video of what exactly the shudder sounds like?

I have 32K on my 2017, and it is fine. Per Chevy if it hasn’t happened by now it won’t happen, but you never know. |

The best way I can describe it is that it feels like the road is rough, almost like going over mild rumble strips.

My 17 started the shutter at about 4k miles, had it flushed at dealer (11/2018), fine since, but only at 7.5k now. I really love the car but I'm not going to worry myself sick over it. Life's got so many complications, worrying about this one isn't worth it to me. If it continues to work fine that's great, if not I'll get it fixed or trade it... whatever. Good luck with your decision.
