Can't say the same about the first year C8 transmission issues and first year 6th Gen ZL1 oil pump issues though. There have also been quite a few engine failures in the first year C8 Z06. Just saying, its always a gamble buying the first year and statistics prove it. 2015 Camaro also had a well known battery cable issue.

I certainly wish you the best and hope you don't have any issues. I was on a waiting list to buy a C8 Z06 but kept getting the run around and finally got enough and decided to wait until some of the hype dies. By then, hopefully they'll have the engine and transmission issues worked out. I'm honestly more interested in the E-Ray now since it was announced but I wouldn't want to be a first year early adopter on that model either. The E-Ray would suit me more for around town driving experience but if I spent a lot of time tracking my car on a road course, the Z06 would be the way to go, its a seriously impressive machine at any price.

How can you not also miss the traction problems our ZL1s have/had on the road? Do you still believe that R888R is the best street tire for dry conditions?

Most likely California because they're worried about the strict requirements. People trade-in modified cars all the time in other states without any issues.

As for an all around tire able to drive in some rain, take a corner at high speeds, and still have good traction dry off the line yes the 345s did me right. I can't really compare now since a lot of the weight is over the tire now and I still need 600 more miles for all the performance.
