Hmmmm....with that roofline, maybe the convertible will only need 3-4 bows & there will be no more "5th bow" issues!

Almost looks like a wrap around rear glass.

I have a feeling this car is going to surprise a lot of people with its looks, in a good way.

Maybe a slightly larger grill with a "heritage grill" vibe to it and a large black spoiler on the front like a 69 Z/28? |

I can't help but maybe see some resemblance to an Eleanor style mustang

Interesting about the roof. The earlier car pics we saw with the camo did not favor a sloped roof at all.

I have a feeling the renders we've been looking at so far based on test mule spy shots might actually be kind of wrong. Just based on the profile alone and the positioning of the lights on the fascia, the slope of the C pillars, etc, I think we're in for a surprise. It's undoubtedly strongly inspired by the 5th gen, but I think it'll be hard to confuse the two in person. Even side by side with a 2014 model, it'll be obvious that it's a new model with different proportions.
Assuming this is a standard SS, it's safe to say that this is going to be even more aggressive in terms of styling across all trims. This isn't the z/28. Companies never introduce a flagship car at the time of a major model refresh they stagger the announcements apart so they don't overshadow each other. Ford didn't introduce the GT 350 before the new Mustang GT. That'd be a dumb move from a marketing 101 standpoint. Last edited by RenegadeXR; 01-15-2015 at 04:04 PM. |

Perhaps the test mules were just slightly altered 5th gens to throw everyone off even more. DANGIT CHEVY. Just release the C6!

If you stare at it long enough you can see a sailboat in the middle.
