I am not shocked that much wasn't changed for 2017 considering that they have to do work for the 1LE (LT and SS versions) and ZL1 cars for 2017. Not to mention that at this point I wouldn't be shocked to see a Z/28 shown off in a few months.....

Yeah doesn't suprise me not much has changed. Most of time the 2nd year of a new generation car will only have new paint choices and very small option changes.

Pretty much par for the course with the Mustang and Challenger also. The Mustang picked up 3 new colors and modifications to their "black appearance package"..
I think the Challenger got some limited availability colors (GoMango, Plum Crazy Purple) and some other package modifications, but nothing dramatic. 2017 sounds like a snoozer MY except for the introduction of the ZL1 and 1LE, that's really the only highlight from the Big 3. |

who cares about the challenger ? it's a dozen years old chassis- 2 ton- 2 door sedan. if two new performance Camaro's aren't enough in 1 year then you're looking for something to be unhappy about.

Consider the timeline.. 2010-Camaro returns 2011-Mustang drivetrain overhaul (5.0, 3.7, transmissions, etc), 392 Challenger SRT8. 2012-Boss 302 and ZL1 2013-1LE and 5.8 GT500 2014-Camaro refresh and Z/28 2015-Challenger refresh, 6th Gen Mustang, Hellcats and Scat Packs. 2016-Gen 6 Camaro, GT350 2017-ZL1 and 1LE So I misspoke...this is closer to 2014 than 2014. My point remains, however, that it looks like 2017 is a "deep breath" year before bigger changes come along. |

That's like saying Except for Maris and Mantle 1961 wasn't a great year for Home Runs.
mustang and challenger already have everything out there. what's ford going to do? add 15 hp to the GT? |

Don't forget, the 2nd year is usually where they focus on fixing most production and component issues discovered during the 1st year of sales. Even though we have to wait for the 1LE and ZL1 toward the tail end of the upcoming model year, that alone is good news for customers. |
