Yeah I could see being on the fence, I like "special" wheels, but I just really didn't like the 50th wheels, and I wanted wider tires, and I really like 5 spokes... so 1LE reps seemed a no brainer, I got a great deal from Paul and PK Auto Design. Super easy to work with.

Per another thread....removal and install if ZL1 1LE CHMSL.

Removed deck lid...stripped to bare metal...repaint same color...reinstalled all components except chmsl...removed all screws/clips from chmsl...installed chmsl...re-installed clips in chmsl...job done...no scratches.

Read last 8 posts of chmsl thread.

It really wasn't that hard an install. Mine was only difficult because two of the clips on the new unit were out of position when I went to push it in. So, I had to remove it, reposition the clips and reinstall.

It was super easy. After I got some adhesive remover for the second go 'round, it went really smoothly.

I found it hilarious lol. But yes over there it would've incited a panic for sure lol. I can see the posts now...."what tools do I need to remove my trunk deck lid?"

You'll need a 3/4 drive air impact for sure! With 1/4 drive impact sockets.

Just make sure you don't over torque the bolts while taking them out. Anything more than 5 inch pounds of torque will snap the heads off the bolts.

Mod Sunday! Installed the ZL1 Start Button (swapped the collar on it to chrome off the stock one) and ZL1 1LE CHMSL to match Dark Tail lamps.
