Maybe DC or other dealers could chime in here. If an existing order for a 2023 is sitting at 1100 when GM stops accepting orders for the 2023 model year what happens? Is it possible they will build it in July or early August, or failing that will it automatically roll over to a 2024 MY? If not does it get automatically canceled and the dealer would have to reorder it as a 2024 MY new entry? We are fast approaching the June cutoff!

Not a dealer but if you read and search through, common answer is if your order isn't picked up then it gets re-placed with a 2024 order obviously your sales person would have to do place that order. That's what dealers told me and what I've seen other here say. If you are sitting at 1100 for too long like 6+ months I'd maybe try to find a higher volume dealer. One issue is if you chose a color that is gone after 2023 which sounds like only Shadow Gray & Riverside Blue-at this time then you'd end up having to pick a different color.

I went by to see my salesman and he gave me a GM Vehicle Locator printout a few days ago that shows.

I understand your concern, as my car was built mid January and still waiting. It has been status 3800 with delayed or no ETA for that duration. I have heard maybe some parts issues and the transportation problem is the cause for delays. No real details from the dealership or GM. Wish us all better luck.

Yeah, you're telling me! They said they have never seen an order arrive so quickly. Heck, it was delivered to the local rail yard yesterday and only sat 1 night there. Super lucky. And, it's my birthday weekend! So blessed!

Just curious where you saw Shadow Gray is being dropped? I know Cadillac on the CT5 Blackwing dropped Shadow Gray but for 2023 replaced with Midnight Steel Metallic which is very similar to Shadow Gray it replaced. My Shadow Gray 2SS was just built this week. I really wanted this color

It was here on this site posted by GearheadSS. Orders run for those two colors I believe runs until July beginning to mid July then gone for 2024 MY.
