My dealer printed off a sheet for me on Friday showing a 4/28 date in the EXP I/T and the INT COM fields. He said the arrival can vary a couple of weeks from when they are billed for the car. This may be what's in Vin View. The sheet he printed off for me has all the costs, options, and other info.

Hi DC,
Could you please check the order status for CMKQ3R? It was submitted to Chevy almost 3 months ago. Thanks!

What is EXP I/T and INT COM? So you're saying that they will be billed for it on 5/10 and say delivery within the month after that?

Expected Delivery In/Transit and Internal/Communication as you can see in dates on my vehicle printout I got from my salesman a few days ago.
INVOICE 04/04/23
SHIPPED 04/04/23
EXP I/T 04/24/23
INT COM 04/24/23

Note: Says that it was invoiced the same day as shipped and salesman told me the 4/24 was the day that they expected it to be delivered.

The car showed as shipped on 3/30, during the build week. I'm guessing EXP I/T maybe Expected In transit? He said that the 4/28 date was within a 2 week window of when he expected the car to arrive. He said they will be billed for the car on 4/28.

The car will truck to the rail yard, rail to a another yard, and finally truck to the dealership. My 2022 sat for about 3 weeks before moving from the rail yard to the the dealership in Feb22. It could get delayed at any of these points.

I'm probably going to just quit checking on it for a while and wait to be surprised by a phone call when it arrives.

So I ordered a 2SS 1LE 6pd towards the end of February 2023 with the Chevrolet dealership in the dealership group I work for. I'm a Virtual Business Manager for the entire group and I placed my order knowing I would have some wait time but now I'm concerned about my order not being accepted by the scheduled June cutoff. I thought 4 months for acceptance should be more than enough time but am I wrong? I pretty sure I wouldn't want to redo another order for a 2024 but Idk...

All about Allocation’s, and whether your dealer can actually get one for your build. I ordered mine in March and dealer had an Allocation available and what they called it was an Allocation for a 2SS 1LE, perhaps the allocation’s are that specific down to the trim level & 1LE or non-1LE. I don’t know.

I guess that's what I'm wondering. Are allocations that specific and is the the 1LE making it more difficult to obtain?

Yep allocations are based on certain criteria from the engine on down. However, I've found that another huge factor is knowing where you stand on the dealership's priority list and that picking the right dealership to place your order makes a huge difference in build time! The guy you always bought off the lot from might not be the right guy to order your car from. I learned this the hard way... After waiting patiently for 4 months i pressured the sales manager at the dealership I had made many previous purchases at into giving me his order list to see where my order stood. What a surprise... I quickly found out that he was moving my build down the dealerships order priority list.

After waiting 4 months I was 3rd in line on his allocation list even though I was 4th in line when I ordered 4 months ago and I've seen 3 Camaro's shipped to the dealership since ordering? After busting them and calling BS for moving my build down their list they gave me numerous excuses as to why my build still hadn't been allocated by the sales manager yet. I gave the sales manager an ultimatum..."order the effing car or give me my deposit back and I'll take my order to the dealership that I see numerous Camaro's being shipped to in my area."
The sales manager said "give me a few days and I'll see if I can get an allocation and I'll move your build to the top of the list".
Within a week the sales manager magically moved my build to the top of his allocation list, the order was placed with Chevrolet, and the last I heard my TPW is 4/24. I truly believe that my order was being neglected by this dealership because I was getting the GM employee discount. If I didn't already have 4 months invested in my order I would have told the dealership where to go and ordered elsewhere.

So when it comes to allocations a lot comes into play. My biggest mistake was not knowing that taking my order to the dealership getting the most Camaro allocations plays a huge part in how fast your order is filled!
I'm happy now! Finally after almost 5 months they're actually going to build the effing thing! But I'm not so happy finding out what the delay was.
