Hey Team, just wanted to share an update on the build...
Lots going on right now... here are a few things I can share... 1. Decided to order the Mishimoto coolant reservoir along with my buddy Alex. It's a decent unit, but I really dislike the matte finish, so I am stripping them down and having them re-coated to a satin wrinkle to match the rest of the underhood theme. I'll post photos of this later... 2. Picked up a bunch of ARP 12-point hardware to replace some of the under-hood hardware... more on that later... 3. Replacing some of my auxiliary RIDE sensors with Banks sensors as I was never able to get the additional IAT sensors to work. Trying to swap out (drill and tap) without pulling the blower.... we will see. Excited to get some more data on the effectiveness of the current HX system, and more importantly, as a baseline for a super cool new mod coming up very soon! 4. Just got done test fitting a new "ram air" package that integrates into our High Flow Impact Bar Air Deflectors... the fitment is awesome, will be making one more revision before we start production (there will be two versions with and without oil cooler option)... Might also do a version with the OEM crash bar... need to mock that up first. 5. Just ordered the Monster S Triple with Ultra Lightweight Flywheel now that the group buy is over... Not sure if I am going to swap that at home or not, will share photos soon. Anyone else do this on the garage floor? 6. Finally going to replacing my 2 old Banks iDash Classics with the new iDash PRO and PRO DATA Banks sent me a few months ago (just been busy) Excited to test out the new app. 7. Last but not least... I got a very special delivery from my friends at Ridetech... going to be testing out their new Coilovers, and while tearing into the rear end, decided to upgrade a few more of the rear end components... stay tuned, lots of good stuff coming!

The “ram air” panels don’t come with the high flow package? Was thinking about ordering but don’t want the bumper off waiting on the ram air portion. Do you have any available to order now so i can order both at the same time?

Looking good bro ! WOW, the front end of your car looks to good to put the bumper back on... how many times is this now !!! Also, I have the same Mishimoto coolant reservoir, it was one of the first mods I did after getting the car. Keep up the great work and teach us all as you continue to build your beast !

I got the MBRP belly pan from Gabe. Easy install and perfect fit. This man is a blessing for us ZL1/1LE owners!

Got around to installing the Impact Frame I got from ya Gabe, fit and finish was spot on. Thank goodness for the small paragraph for installation instructions up top. If I had to read about how you can't spell, or great job eat a popsicle or grab a beer, it would have taken me 4 extra hours to get through all of the writing fluff lollllllll

Ooh, curious on your thoughts on the RideTech for us ZL1/1LE track rats. We are always looking for much cheaper coilovers that perform as good but also street friendly.
Keep in mind, these coilovers need to be stout enough to take aggressive gators and provide the same confidence for track rats. |
