Heck I don't know if that is true, people my age can't even get into a Vette. ... I'm super in shape, my cohort... um not so much.

as for the C8, some of the videos of the reveals at dealer still shows mainly 60-80 year olds.

The younglings at work think the C8 is fire and lit. I am assuming they like it and do not want to light it on fire. Vettes have long pissed me off since they have yet to build one I fit in. |

Not really true. A tribute/replica is almost always worth a lot less than an original limited production or high performance model. So lots of collectors absolutely care about the VIN and original build options.

Juechter's team appear to have sweated the details. I'll bet the C8 sells over 40K for several years. |

Then we will agree to disagree that a 1le is going to be worth a whole lot more than a non-1le 30 years from now. IMO, you would be lucky just to get the amount the option cost new.

Considering i see no collector value in a non-1Le SS in 30 years i would say a 1Le SS would definitely bring in more money , a whole lot more ,maybe to the right person as in all collectors . More than likely no one would know how to drive it home anyway in 30 years.

Good time to be looking for a C7. Kerbecks in NJ has quite a few in thelow $40K area. Most fairly bare bones 1LT cars but still...a hell of a ride. For a smidge under fifty one can get a 2LT and a few options. Good time to be looking for a C7 in my opinion.

Yep, love the C7 and now they are affordable. Just the C8 to me is so much better. I would take a base C8 over any c7 sub 60K and would if I had to keep it long term take it over any C7 no matter the cost.

In the collector world it's a little more exact then that , a Zl1 is a Zl1 and has nothing to do with a SS 1Le . The prestige is in the 1Le option that actually transforms the Camaro into the top level of performance from the turbo 4 to the ZL1 . In 30 years its hard to say what people will go for as far as SS1Le VS ZL1, just looking at them from a mechanical point of view people may not want a 30 year old supercharged car . Just look at some Z06 Corvette prices and how they have fallen over the years . Either way anything connected with the 1Le option will be more collectable and fitch more money, but none will make you rich.
