I did the kit for both seats last week. Works great! Only thing I would note, is to install the switch with the led towards the bottom. That makes it more natural up-on/down-off switch movement, and the led light is more visible that way. So nice to not have my backside feel smothered and sweaty!

How long did the install take you? I am thinking of doing mine this weekend.

Gen5Diy has brought a great addition/solution to the 1SS/1LE group with their cooling fan harness! Install in about 3 hrs taking my time now I'm a cool ass dude...lol sorry couldn't resist BTW I also bought the Homelink console for my 1SS, install less than 15 minutes. Thanks Gen5diy!

How are you guys adjusting the fan speed as described in the video? In the video they adjust on the bench, but I don't have a way to do that.

so, cable everything together but don't bolt down the seats before adjusting?

You can do it by doing the adjustment before you bolt down the seat, plug it all in and use the switch to set the seat as high as you can, then if need more room tilt it up from the back.

The trick I used to setting the fan speed is to just barely touch the fan while it is running so I could "hear" the nubs on the inner part of the fan touching my finger. These kind of fans won't hurt you at all, but by doing this I could dial up the speed until the fan stopped and then just slowly roll the knob back until the fan started again. Then just moved onto the other seat.

With the exception of crimped on terminals for the switch (I had two come off just routing the wires thru the seat - so I soldered the wires to the switch and heat-shrunk the connections), I think the kit is a great investment and worth the money

they are loud enough you don't even need to go that far.

i like what u did withe the switch, i actually didnt have good contnuity on one and thought i had a bad kit or fan. popped the switch and it looked like loose connection, i just used needle nose and crimped.

I was able to adjust the knobs with the seats bolted down. Just have to listen for the fans turning on and off.

Silly question, I know, but I'm assuming you disconnect the negative battery terminal before unplugging the harnesses under the seats, correct?? It wasn't shown or mentioned in the installation video.

Also does anyone know if the the small triangular switch panels on the sides of the seats replaceable if you ever want to return to stock?

I want to know this as well and haven't found an answer. I'm not drilling into it until I know it's easy to replace.
