Hey i'm just genuinely curious. It is a good list of standard equipment. I don't believe it'll be 40K, but i'm leaning more towards 38 to 39K.

A no options 2SS right now has a MSRP of $38,300.

Even a $1,500 increase will put it a shade under $40,000.

I think a $39,990 2SS is more of a reality than people think.

I could see an auto, NPP, 2SS with MRC at 45,000 easy, if not 46,000

It will be a 2-4 k more than the mustang starting like it ALWAYS has been. And that will make the mustang the better car and keep them warm at night.
The end.

What a feeding frenzy over nothing more than a rumor of some feature that nobody really knows exists (apparently it doesn't) or understand how it works. Maybe some of you guys should wait for some facts before you start rejoicing in the downfall of the track car that can't compete. Some of the comments are really out there...at least it makes it easy separate the real car guys from the nut-swingers.

You're funny.

If this is a feeding frenzy the other site is going to cause world hunger.

And I'm sick of this whole a car guy needs to like all cars thing I constantly hear. I'll like and drive what I want. Showing concern over a Ford document limiting rpm on a track focused car is an obvious downfall anyone would comment on.

I am curious myself to see the GT350 hit the track. I would really like to see Randy Pobst take it to Mazda Laguna seca to see what time it turns since many cars have times at that track.

I am not a ford guy at all but I'm sure the GT350 is gonna turn some quick track times. I would love to see the Z28 and GT350r at the MLS with Randy Pobst same day same track. If the GT350 beats it so be it. I will be shocked if it doesn't. Then will be a benchmark for GM to bring something else to complete with it if that's what GM wants to go after.

A possible slightly higher msrp some might consider a victory. Certainly the way it looks the Camaro will have a clear cut performance victory. Looking at the available options on the Camaro it's hard to find where the GT pp will have any performance advantage. #1 fans and there following need to find something to hang there hat on even if it's a cheaper msrp.

I agree with you on the second point. This thread turned into exactly how the other site would have acted had something along those lines popped up though. In the end its all the same on either side of the fence lol.

Oh someone call the whabulance. Pretty easy to understand the part of the document shared. If it's not true or just from the wrong manual it doesn't make it any less worth talking about. Rumors do occasionally become facts and accidental leaks of info happen.Don't jump into the conversation after the fact and act like you knew the truth all along.

It was not untrue. It was not from the wrong manual. It was retracted. Quote below is from the 2 post, MI source from the alternate universe. Seem as if the bean counters lost.

But that still doesn't account for situations where you run through several times holding a single gear. That's more of an issue than shifting. If I am running through a technical series of turns, I may hold a head more than 8 seconds above the 6250 point.

Good for the enthusiasts! Glad they won't get that ridiculous restriction. Looking forward to seeing it post some times.
