Just got word, my car is still in Michigan. I'm in Arizona. One thing that confuses me. If my car was in QC hold, wouldn't GM know? I ask because when I chat with someone from GM (Chevy Web site) and give them my order number they say your car has been shipped and we can't tell you anymore, you need to talk to your dealer. My dealer says the car is still bayed. How can no one seems to know anything. I feel like paying for it so I can turn on OnStar. I'm not going to, but I feel like it.

There is a code - 4D00 - for quality hold. It is rarely used, and by rare I mean a few ayear amongst all Chevrolet assembly plants. It can not be seen by Chevy Chat etc. and Becky can only see it for her orders. I do not know that she has ever seen it.

It can be seen by the ordering dealer or in the alternative by the Regional Business Center. I am aware of it because in other forums posters have seen it in the Order Event History or have been told that is their status by the ordering dealer and have asked what it means.

Per my memory only one member of this forum has reported getting 4D00, which should tell you how rare it is.

Just checked my dealers stock. No go, I had a feeling when I ordered mine this would happen. So, I started planning my alternative route I would take. I took and very glad I did. Martelds I hope you get yours soon. I think some of the 2/15 guys have already gotten theirs.

I found the car I almost ordered. It's Metallic Black with no RS stripes, or black bows but all those things are dealer installed items. The only difference from what I ordered is I choice Garnet Red because black is tough and I didn't know what it looked like. It's at a different Autonation chevy in Arizona so a dealer trade would be easy. Now here is the butt, it has 60 miles on it, i know that no biggie, but the car I ordered should have almost zero. Think I will go look and see if the paint is good and if it looks as good as i think it looks. Since my ordered car appears to be in QC check?

You have stuck it out this long. Don't settle. I wouldn't buy a "new" car with 60 miles on it. Trust me I almost caved a couple weeks ago and bought a car off the dealer lot. It didn't have a couple of the features that I wanted but I almost talked myself into getting it. Looking back, I'm really glad I held off.

I don't regret not waiting, so if you like it buy it. If not just wait, I bought mine with 260 because they did a dealer trade for me and it had to be driven back from the other dealer. Didn't bother me a bit.

Your choice here but I wouldn't settle. I'd just hang in there for the one that you ordered.

Ha! I stand alone. GM says it's in Transit, my dealer says it's Bayed at the plant. So I know nothing. I do know that my loan expires in 10 days and I really don't want to reapply. I'm sure I will forget all about this when I finally do get it. But GEEZZZZZZZ

I'm still here waiting for mine as well...granted I'm one week TPW ahead of you (1/25). In the same situation though, online chat they say it was shipped, dealer says it's bayed. OnStar shows it sitting in the same spot in Hamtramck for a week now, after having sat in Charlotte and Livonia for 1.5 months.

Was really tempted to cancel and pick up one of the lot, but I guess I'll wait...gives me more time to pay off my current car down a little bit more.

Me not wait. ha and still not a my dealer today. So it would have been just you and me, now your the loner. Just kidding and hope you get yours soon. Its just not right that some earlier then ours still haven't gotten them either and some after ours were built have them. WTF is going on. This if my 73 car or truck and the first one I've ever ordered and will never order again after this deal. Still glad I didn't wait.
