The 20 inch tires will be ample to launch on if you know how. Also all you need to do is buy 20 inch drag radials and put them on the factory wheels for $600
There's a big difference between your V6 and the LT1.

I'm pretty happy with the adaptation I made to the front-end on my new 2019. The 2020 looks good though, I'm glad they listened to the feedback. I don't really care where the bowtie/flowtie goes, but the black bar looked horrible on anything other than dark coloured cars, in my opinion.

2016 left, 2019 (wrapped) right.

The 2020 painted bar makes it look very similar to the 16-18 ...that everyone hates ...because it looks just like the gen5 ...that everyone loves.

I wish... but sadly, no :( Don't change something that already works.
I am pretty sure that sales were not affected by looks. Now they surely are (for 2019).

I held off purchasing my 2019 for months, hoping they'd bring out an option for the SEMA show look, until I realized I could do it myself (well, get it done) for a few hundred bucks.

'16 grill looks sleeker and more uniformed.

I like that they are offering the more affordable V8 but the branding of it as LT1 can only add confusion.

To get the price down I'd imagine it's going to lose some stuff the 1ss has. No rev match, 7" screen, speedometer from the 1LT trim, Brembos up front only, no spolier or lip on the trunk? I know all the details haven't been released yet, but compared to the 1ss what else would you imagine the LT1 is missing?

A lot of the 1SS base content can by ordered as optional on the 1LT LT1. The point is, you don’t have to pay the 1SS price to get the V8 plus some options you want and some options you could care less about. So somebody could get the LT1, add money for the upgraded sound system, add money for Brembos and call it a day and come in under the 1SS price.
