Great, for the info, smkymntn. Will store it up in case I need to go to an aftermarket TC later (my A8 is tuned and works amazingly well for now).

After a year and 20,000 miles later shudder hasn't returned.
I used the blue labeled mobil and only made it one time because it was at my cost. I'm gonna do it again this year just as a scheduled maitenance but shudder never returned so at least for me fluid solved the issue. |

6 months ago i had the fluid changed. Wasnt much better. It still does the shudder mainly between 1250-1500 RPM no matter what gear its in.
Dealership insists its the wheels needing balanced. Next week gonna have them balance, then use the picoscope. This way they cant say its the wheels & if they do try to say the picoscope indicates its the wheels, i wont pay for either the balance or the picoscope. I got 2,000 miles left on this extended warranty and i want a new torque convertor! |

Issues like this make me appreciate camaro6.com so much!
I have a 2016 2SS with 51,000 miles on it. The shudder just started for me about two months ago. I haven't been driving my Camaro much during the pandemic (1200 miles in a year) but took it on a couple of highway trips and boom, shudder. I put new tires on it and had an alignment done. The dealer went there first and rebalanced my tires and checked the wheel alignment. They said all of the tires were out of balance and had to be done. (has anyone ever been told they didnt need a wheel balance lol once the dealer take the wheels off). After all the work I drive away and the shudder was still there. Bringing it back to the dealer on Monday. I found the TSB in 15 minutes of searches on the site. Hopefully the flush works. We'll see if it goes to the new TC.

It's weird the shudder appears to occur on cars less used. Why?

The dealer did the flush service and I’m 150 miles into the 200 they asked me to drive before reassessing the issue.
The trans has been solid and it’s been shifting much tighter since the service was completed. Hopefully the issue has been resolved.

the shudder is caused by water in the fluid, so it the less you drive hard the faster the issue manifests if you rock the old pre 2019 fluid

2018 2.0T RS had it started at 2,000 miles but I don't use the car much and wondered if this comes into play with low use and the oil breaking down. The new mobil blue oil is like red water so something tells me there was a major mechanical problem GM covered up!

I had the flush done and it feels so much better. I barely had a shudder but I could tell my car wasn't shifting as cleanly as I used to.
