Incorrect. They did not have 3.09 gears installed they were factory 2.62. Ive not seen much proof thats a benefit anyway. |

With that being said, which videos did you see of a ZL1 pulling on a Hellcat from a roll race? All the videos I saw showed the opposite, except for one that was the heavier Charger Hellcat vs ZL1. And as far as the 1/2 mile races, while the ZL1 was ahead, the Hellcats had the higher trap speeds. The difference being a couple of mph in most cases. As far as trap speeds in the 1/4, they more or less trap the same, maybe the Hellcat edging out the ZL1 slightly. I saw videos of the new ZL1 trapping as low as 119, and as high as 127. I did see the video Daves ZL1 trapping 130 mph, but he questions the accuracy of the traps at that track along with most people that saw the video. |

@BlackDevil - if you're torn between the two, you need to go take a test drive in both. The Camaro and the Challenger are really two completely different cars. The only real thing they have in common is both have two doors and four wheels LOL
The best way I can put it is that the Camaro is a sport car with a big V8. The Challenger is a big muscle car with a big V8. I can tell you from having both, that the Challenger is extremely roomy and comfortable and if I could ONLY have one, the Challenger would be it. Love the Camaro too though, but it is much more cramped. |

Well I mounted my Wleds from my 2013 ZL1 and took it for a drive. Hopefully in the next couple weeks, I will know if it can go in the 10s with Drag Pack only.

I thought they used race fuel, changed driveshaft, injectors and 18" rears with skinnies up front they could be called rotating mass. I'm not sure what's a mod anymore.

^^ I dunno about a lot of what you just posted. Lots of 9 second Hellcats and no reports of torn up transmissions that I've seen. Google TopCat. He's the guy that started all the mod testing with HHP. Lots of magazine articles etc. If he broke at transmission I never saw it discussed and he was the kind of guy that gave the good/bad/ugly. Passed away last year, but HHP is still campaigning the car today.
This is from Atco Nov last year. I know the family and can ask them if there have been any trans issues. Also, I'd love to know where Hellcats are for high 30s to low 40s. Lots of guys on the Hellcat forum are searching and high 40s to mid 50s are what they're finding. I can point them to the cars you've found. |
