Aloha Alan!, Was just there in September. We didn't do the Sunrise tour but went up later in the day, was really foggy/misty out. Beautiful though, made me think we were on MARS with how the landscape looked, even spotted a Camaro parked at the Observatory. We also did the the road to Hana & took the rental Camaro off-road (well except for the small section that was closed due to road work).

Thanks for sharing your pics. There is an amazing stretch of smooth tarmac up that mountain. My sons and I do a lot of "spirited" driving on those twisties up and down Haleakala. I would only take my truck around the backside between Kipahulu and Kaupo though. Looks like you rented an SS, good times to be had in one of those. As you probably noticed, there are a lot of Camaros on Maui, most are rentals.

Looks like you have a Hot Wheels edition in the queue. I'll bet that your just a little excited. Keep us posted on your progress.
