That's nearly 600 lbs down from a Hellcat according to Speedy's weigh in (give or take 18 pounds lol). Even though the ZL1 is about 100 rwhp down from the Hellcat, it still keeps up (more or less) after the launch is taken out of the equation.

Yep, that's why they're running low 11s bone stock....power to weight baby.

The Cats have to have good tires to do anything at the strip. As you can see they are heavy cars, couple that with crap tires and it's a losing battle. Now you see why I won't even fool with the stock tires, kinda pointless.

My goal for mine is to beat 10.850. That was my PB in my old car the HC replaced. Anything past that for me is gravy.

Power to weight is definitely a big deal. That's why it takes a heck of car to run with a 200 hp bike.

Are you trying to beat your PB with a tire only or whatever it takes? A tire only may make for a fun little challenge. Or you may just go out there and beat it on your first pass.

Just tires to beat 10.850. We'll see how I do. After that and some bake time, skies the limit. My tuner has a shop Hellcat they're campaigning. Tires, tune, pulley it runs 9.9x at 140+ LOL.

Nice!! A 9 second car would be about right for me I think. I wouldn't want to lose the street-ability of the car and a 9 second car will beat the majority of true street cars out there.

10.88@127 is what I seen one run with just a DR in high 40s negative DA weather. After several attempts and several good runs. That's all it had in it. Dead hook.
Ill be within a tenth or two of him with my bolt on NA car late this fall in similar weather. If hes still stock lol. Ill be all over him if I switch to a 26 tire and drop my 60 another tenth.

To run under 10.8 would take extreme negative da or hidden mods for a stock hellcat on a tire IMO

I believe it was 1.60. I'd have to find the old slip. He was in the lane next to me for his best run. I've posted the vid on here before as well

Folks over on the Hellcat forum have run 10.60s on a tire. Likely a drive shaft as well since the stock one tends to pretzel up with some frequency. Good air obviously. I think two different guys have posted slips from two different tracks. One was 10.62 and the other 10.60 flat. I know one of them personally.

How the 9.9x at 140? The Hellcats seem to really respond to small changes. If I had to guess, Doge left a ton of headroom in the car. The 2.3L blower is pretty big for an OEM, and it's on like a 3.3 pulley from the factory so barely spinning. The shop is OSTDyno and Mike the tuner is the shizzle. Had his tune on my old car both street and strip and it was awesome.

Surprisingly, the stock Hellcat tuneup is like 20% HOTTER than what Mike had me setup for on 93 and the Hellcat is tuned to 91 from the factory. I was dead shocked when I saw what Dodge had set when I started data logging the Hellcat. OST has several customer cars all running in the 9s and they're not hero runs. These guys compete in the MSHS series so definitely not one hit wonders.

I thought it was a 2.4 blower. The fact that it's big and a twin screw type helps tremendously.

The Hellcats are just bonkers, I love that engine. If I could have any 2 cars, I'd get a Hellcat and ZL1. Unfortunately I have to pick only 1, so I think I'll pick...

Some guys were claiming even lower. But one was caught with a small shot of nitrous. The other a race gas tune. They want so badly to beat the stock zo6 10.3-10.4 times lol

A hellcat won't run 10.6 here. Not unless they open the track up in the winter. Or just a tune that no one could ever detect. No way the car had almost another .3 in it at my track. 100% impossible
