LED daytime running lights and HID headlights, very common combination on a lot of cars. LED will draw less current. I'd imagine the "eagle eye" will be retained with the camaro going to LED, maybe get adaptive lights if we are lucky.

Camaro Team To Put More Focus On Entry, Mid-Level Models
We knew this was in the works, but here is more confirmation.
New comments from Todd Christensen, of Chevrolet Performance Marketing, at the 2017 LA Auto Show last month. Quote:

Pretty much confirms their idea of bringing a sub-1SS V8 option for the Camaro. Really makes sense since there is no counterpart to the base Mustang GT. The 1SS is more comparable to the GT PP1

Eh... not anymore, maybe with the MY'15-17. It's going to be interesting how they're going to achieve this. Does that mean a new V8 entry motor altogether that makes 395-405hp? Or manual HVAC, manual seats, lack of SXM and digital app support, all analog cluster... Truthfully I'm still not sure why my 'track ready' 1SS 1LE comes with power seats. I prefer the lighter and quicker to adjust manual option.

"We still sell more V6s, but now there’s something about that V8 that’s capturing hearts a little bit more.” It's called affordable gas prices. If gas went to $5 a gallon in most areas people would probably lean more towards the 6-cyl.

Why are they testing this ZL1?
"A man is what a man thinks about all the time"
I've been thinking about this: Why are they testing this ZL1? Testing the rear bumper cover (fascia)? Or testing the new LT5 underhood? Is it an updated LT4 with port and direct injection and MORE power? Just automated emergency braking? I need to know!

My point is, I hope it's under the hood. Seems the only logical reason to be testing the ZL1 along with all the other mules. Or do they just like riding around on the clock

Even some ZL1-only views in a new gauge cluster would justify a ZL1 mule
And for unique settings like for the PDR they need a ZL1 mule, the new SS 1LE will surely not be available at launch Last edited by samurai; 01-05-2018 at 03:27 AM. |

Or a Z/28 in plain view......why is there not a badge on the front grill or hood since we already know what a ZL1 looks like from the front view. Just saying.....

Or it’s just a ZL1 testing the new rear fascia and they left off the badge.

Looks like they have not removed that ugly top of the dash. Secondly, I'm very disappointed that they are not going to upgrade the Zl1's front. It is ok, but the new one is always better. Looks like the SS's front will look better. |
