I always just ask if we're still at 3400 and they say yes

My 5/1 TPW Z71 still hasn't been built. Guess they're dealing with more than ZR2 delays right now.

The Raptor will be interesting, we've seen most of the truck since it's been released everywhere else basically. The powertrains however will be different here. If Ford uses a HO EB in it, could that get us the 6.2 in the ZR2?

Competition is always good! Will be interesting to see if the CCLB mules result in a retail CCLB offering.

Good question, it looks like the Tacoma will also have a LB in the next gen. I think there are more people complaining about the lack of the long bed than actual buyers though. Who knows.

I just think its fun seeing market analyst/bean counter wars. It does look like the Tacoma cab got a lot taller i.e. no tank slot to look out of. But in terms of Colorado v Ranger, its especially interesting since Colorado went CCSB and Ranger may be going CCLB. Will be fun to see the results.

I agree. I can count on one hand the number of long bed Colorados we sold since 2015. The actual amount of people that actually want one is a very small percentage.

Cool. Something to look forward to on Wednesday then.
If Ford doesn't debut some decent changes to the exterior or the interior as compared to the global version then consider me uninterested. I'm expecting more differences in the interior than the exterior...we'll see! Tacoma looks good to me, based on that supposedly leaked image of the white TRD Pro from a few days ago. Need to see more trims and the interior though. I think what could possibly appeal more to me are the engine options in the Ranger and the Tacoma...the Ranger with it's stout EcoBoost and the Tacoma with it's hybrid.

I don't think GM will lose sales due to lack of LB, but, the powertrain thing might bite them. Toyota could torch them in MPG with their refined hybrids, Ford may be able to offer that (hybrid) and/or a HO engine for their highest trims such as the Raptor. I do wonder though how expensive those would be. I think they need to introduce a midsize EV to slot in even if it's only a Hummer H3 type vehicle.

My Z71 was finally built on Monday. Now we'll see how long it takes to ship.
