I just got back from my dealer and they do not know anything about being able to order the week of the 10th (next week). Can we verify that with anyone at GM?

The dealer looked in the system as well and they can order 2108 Equinox's but no Camaros yet.

They won't know until the week of the 10th...someone posted a thread around here with that date. Production date, too - but I forget that one.

The first 2018 Order Cycle looks like it starts April 13. Dealers usually have new model year product content info a few days before the first cycle. It usually takes at least but often two or more cycles before pricing s published. This means dealers often order initial inventory before they know how much it will cost.

Interesting. I guess anybody that plans to order a ZL1 1LE should expect a sale price of $75,000. This is just to be on the safe side. If it is a little cheaper, than that is a bonus.

I just did a little math to include tax and possibly a warranty. I factored in n taxes (4.15% in VA), dealer doc fees, and possibly extended warranty. When all said and done, it could be around $79,000 without extended warranty. You want the extended warranty, well now you are looking north of $80,000 Camaro!!!

My dealer isn't certain if the 1LE option will be available next week when the 2018 Camaro orders open. I sure hope it is. I can't wait to get my hands on one!

Anyone have any news on actually placing an order for one of these monsters? I was hoping my dealer would be calling me on the 13th but it's radio silence at this point.

Please advise.

Several of us have had orders created in the system.

But a lot is going to depend on how Chevy doles out the ZL1s in 2018. No dealer at this point knows how many ZL1s they are getting, let alone how many they will be allowed to order with the 1LE package.

Best thing to do is ask the dealer to input the order, get an order number, and cross your fingers.

Has anyone heard what break fluid will be in the car? Will we need to change the fluid over to high temp fluid for the track? Also, has anyone seen any info about using a harness with this car? On my 2012 ZL1 I had to change the brake fluid and I installed a 5 point harness to keep me planted in the seat. Just wondering, what if anything we will need to do for this car.

Most likely same fluid as everything else...change it out before going to the track.

DOT 3 is in the car from factory. Recaro seats with a nice ratcheting seat belt is much better than the 12's. Haven't hit the road track yet but for autox I was planted pretty well in the seat.

With the ZL1 1LE being advertised as a track car I would expect that it would already have some kind of high temp brake fluid in it so it does not boil. Will this car need to have the skip shift eliminator added? Just trying to figure out what I am going to need to do to ensure it is ready for the tack. I know, I know it is months away. I have to keep my mind busy......LOL.
