Me neither, the wait is driving me nuts, need a truck and a new DD real soon, I am hoping the Colorado can do both for me the rated 305hp is kinda strange though, the Camaro is rated at 323hp?

Yes, but engine ratings don't depend on the engine alone. The entire airpath, from the air intake to exhaust tip, plays a role. It makes perfect sense to me for the Camaro to have the most free flowing setup compared to sedans, trucks, & luxury cars that might be using the same engine. On top of that there might be a little bit of wiggle room in the tuning of the engine for one application to the next which could contribute a bit. But for the most part, I'd put the blame on the bits leading to & from the engine.

Look at the 15' Mustang. Tons or orders already, and they still don't know power, performance, or weight figures.

The LFX is rated differently in many of the vehicles its used in. DGthe3 touched on this above, but also the LFX will have a different cam phasing profile and is tuned for more torque earlier in the powerband, so it makes sense to have a lower peak HP number.

Just get a cat back exhaust and Intake, it might gain a few HP and be right up there at 323hp again

Although it is the LFX engine, the setup looks a bit different than what is in the Camaro...if I remember correctly the intake shape looked different.
That said, if the bottom of the intake manifold bolts up the same with a similar shape, then running a 1/2" to 3/4" spacer has shown to add even more low to midrange torque on the LFX in the Camaro, and could possibly be a good mod on this truck too but you never know until you can get your hands on one. More low and midrange power is what you'd want with this truck...not necessarily peak power but the LFX will happily rev to the moon if you want. Ported throttle body for even better throttle response would be another good addition. Not sure if I'd go much further than that, not that I don't think a CAI, tune, or exhaust work wouldn't add more power (it would)....its just that I'd probably leave the truck closer to stock than say my Camaro, which has several performance mods. Also CAI and exhaust tend to be better for peak gains which is not what I'd be looking for.
