Its because of Dale that many of us are NASCAR fans - his passion for life and the sport are sorely missed...

this is the poster i got in 1990 at the Winston cup preview that he signed 3 of for us... the poster has been hanging on my den wall ever since then..

and here is a picture in front of DEI of me and Dale...

Ok I doctored the picture and added dale to it...the Monte Carlo was a 2003 model...

Dale Sr will never be surpassed, IMHO....he was one of a kind....

Nine years, huh?

Time has flown by, I don't remember him, I was only a kid back then so not my fault.

I do remember seeing the picture of the hospital as he was being wheeled in.

But while I don't remember him, at least the tragedy resulted in all forms of car racing becoming safer.
