The odd part is, he had claimed in a separate post that he had given Gabe at GMS (who is actually a good vendor on here)a lot of ideas and since he didn't use them decided to start selling his own stuff on here...or something along those lines....I'll have to find the post where he said all that.

I wasn't able to find the one I referenced, but it is odd.

"The really weird part... I am sharing this info for free, Gabe Griffin of GMS has wrapped nearly all his business around the exact facts of what I shared with him a year ago to build my car and everyone on this forum is eating it up."

That is simply not true either. The only mention of tuning that we have on our website refers to turning off codes in HP Tuners when necessary.

I noticed this, too, and was going to bring it up and wondered if this was a new addition by you guys, but you have cleared it right up. Thank you for the clarity. Turning codes off is hardly tuning...

OK I am so sorry that I started this mess. Katech was very responsive and I knew it would be some time to get my oil pump. They responded to every one of my emails and kept me in the loop the entire time. When the window to get my car fixed was closing I was just looking to see if several vendors made a similar oil pump since I couldnt find anything on the internet. I would never put a inferior part back into my car for one that failed at 38K.

Gabe was also great reached out that he had one if I needed one right away. Mine shipped so I didnt need it, but on top of that my mother almost passed and spent 2 weeks in the ICU, so my car didnt make it to shop on time anyway. She is much better. My car is at the shop hopefully will have it back next week.
Lets all try and remember we are here to help and get help from others. Sharing information makes us a stronger group.

While I agree with a lot of this post, you don't have anything to apologize for.

Others started attacking and making accusations that weren't related to your post, nor appropriate. There will be less leniency going forward.

I've had nothing but good experience with Katech AND GMS.

I would just get a new OEM pump. There's no real reason to wait for Katech unless you want to add it to your 'mod list.'

Yeah... traveling to the other side of the Planet will do that. Especially when spending several Mil$ to build an all Carbon Fiber yacht to break speed and efficiency records! You guys think carbon doors are pricey... Here's a new roof all carbon and the hull of this 52' yacht that will go 80mph with quad V12 600hp outboards that is 65% carbon fiber. And yes... they still use the OEM Oil Pumps without failures. LOL!!

That's nice and all but can you TUNE for various pump volume/pressure delivery?

Bringing this back to the top. I have pics of my oil pump failure. Is this normal? I wasn't picturing this kind of damage. I had a great shop do the work got my baby back she runs like a top. I was going to do it myself I have a lift and was a GM tech but it was 25 years ago. Between that and surgery on my foot i didnt think that I would be able to complete it timely. They did great and fit me in and they specialize in LS etc motors and performance. Anyway check out these oil pump pics if I can figure out how to attach
