I'm not seeing that on my tracked, OEM setup, 1LE and I drive in Sport 1.

I have the PDR and I look at the data to see if I'm activating the ESC (my goal is to drive just beneath the level of activation or only have it activate on corner in situations when I'm happy with the amount of yaw but the ESC programming thinks it's too much). If you are driving smoothly, ESC would be activated either by very aggressive trail braking (see previous sentence) or by the tail stepping out under corner exit acceleration (Sport 1 generally doesn't permit enough throttle to allow this).

I would think that in order to have the ESC activating frequently enough to cook the brakes, you'd have to be making frequent abrupt inputs that upset balance and induce oversteer, purposeful or otherwise. Any chance you were doing that in the session where you had the problem?

These are the vented pistons so they are an upgrade. You would have to order 2 kits I believe.

You also need to order the dust boots separately.

I am running a full Racing Brake vented kit front and rear. The pistons are a single stainless steel piece vs the GM being 2 pieces. The high temp silicone boots don't seem to be worth it. Either I messed up the install and got brake lube on the seals, tore them with the picks, or I got a bad batch. Some boots crumbled after a couple of track days. My upcoming rebuild I am trying out the stoptech silicone seals at a fraction of the cost.

My high temp dust boots up front have worked great. Over 1 year on them and they still look like new. I'm rebuilding everything soon but I do plan on getting the high temp ones again.

The OEM dust boots get cooked after a few weekends, not even worth installing IMO.

Must be an installation error on my end then. How do you install the dust boots? My last rebuild I had the pistons halfway extended when putting them on, then pushed them all in. I suspect the green brake grease provided came in contact with the boots as I was pushing them in and that's why they crumbled.

What vented kit did you use?

When I installed them I didn't do a rebuild. I just removed the crumbled OEM ones and slipped on the high temp ones.

Can you link the high temp boots you used?

Select the appropriate caliper and they will have a full kit, pistons, seals, and boots

Any reason to choose those pistons over the less expensive GM vented piston kit (23242510)?
