You’re welcome, dude. No worries. I hope this all works out in the end, and you’re able to be in another awesome Camaro. Glad your wife was ok, too. I think most people in here got the intent of your post. 👍🏻

I'm curious what happens these days with insurance pay-outs for a total loss...The old Kelly Blue book of depreciation seems like so last year. I mean, used car values have gone up considerably. Just wonder if these are affecting how much a totaled used car is actually worth when it comes to a total loss claim with the insurance company.
OP, Good luck. Last edited by 90503; 11-06-2021 at 10:02 AM. |

I have been wondering about the value as well. One major thing is that I have a lemon law title. The car was a GM buyback that got sent back to Michigan from San Bernardino California. Sent back through the line and found zero problems. They then shipped it back to San Bernardino which is where I purchased it at the beginning of 2017 for 20K. Currently this year model etc without any mods are going for 19,5 to 21k. Reading around here and there they say the lemon law title typically takes 20% off of the resale value but I'm very curious to see what Progressive comes through with. They were supposed to evaluate it yesterday but I guess they're behind schedule so I should find out next week. I've had Progressive for a long time and owned the car out right. That's kind of another Downer at least if you have gap insurance it pays off whatever you have on the loan so I'm curious what they give me when I owned it 100%. I'll definitely update and let everybody know. I do have to say resale value on the 6th Gen has been pretty amazing though watching the numbers.
