When it comes to accessories, I would avoid ordering (as in overpaying) from GM for just about everything accessory wise except maybe wheels. Ordering certain accessories on the website will leave you wasting money. It's often overpriced. You may also run into issues if you have two of the same type of option, the cheaper one often overwrites the more expensive one. GM can get sneaky with their errors if you're not careful.

Plus, there are aftermarket rear mirror cameras now. So, I thought I'd throw that out there if you find rear visibility to ever be a problem.

Been there, done that, so...

This is not a criticism of any company, but a lot of the “reasonably priced” aftermarket plastic body parts do not meet OEM specs. Fit, finish and durability can be a problem - plus, you’ll need to install them yourself (or pay an installer) with the included screws, rivets and tape. (Tape only will work for about a year.) Also, you might not like the raw finish of the ABS plastic (some people do); it will not be like smooth black primer, it’s sometimes more like the cheap mudflaps you get at Walmart with swirl marks and color variations in the plastic. So, make sure the company has a good return policy in case you don’t like what you get.

Although the GM LPO parts that you can order with your car are more expensive, they’re finished to match the rest of the car. They’re shipped separately to the dealer, who will install them professionally with the right tools at no additional cost to you; the installation charge is included in what you pay for the part, and GM reimburses the dealer.

Whatever you decide to do, congrats on the new car, and be sure to post pictures!

When you order the accessories with the vehicle purchase they also get rolled up into the 60k 3 year bumper to bumper don’t they? I didn’t need any accessories with my Camaro, but just bought my wife a Nissan and this was the case with what she chose. Just something else to think about. Above all enjoy the process, and the new Camaro. I frickin love these things!
