Thanks! That one lifts to over 18". That's great!

This is what I use. Price is without the mandatory 20% coupon.

^^ Yep, a pair of those would be quite nice.
I bought my smaller jacks, one more than 10 years ago when the 3 ton versions were still hideously expensive.
Then I bought the second one about 3 years ago when I bought the Camaro.
It was the "same" model as the older one, sort of.
If I were to replace them today I would definitely buy the 2 ton versions or larger.

I did have a problem with the newer 1.5 ton jack when its side panels warped.
HF had cheaped out the model with thinner sides than the original one I had.
So I made new side panels from thicker material (still aluminum) and now it works great.
I complained rather bitterly to them and of course I got absolutely nowhere.

At least with Costco they do stand behind their products with generous return policies (except for returning toilet paper these days of course).

Caveat Emptor.

I'm almost 100% sure that Costco jack is the same one I bought at Sears a few years ago, it's been a good one though.
I think just about all brands are made in china anymore.

I ended up getting jack stands with stand pads that go over the pinch point, and a floor jack with a pad as well. It worked great! Thanks everyone.

Is there any concern about getting all the oil to drain on ramps vs level?

No. Not for me. I've been using Raceramps for years to change the oil in multiple vehicles with no issues. If the drain plug is near the back of the oil pan ramps probably allow more oil to drain from the pan than if the car is on a flat surface.

I agree. The two piece ramps are the way to go. Once you have the vehicle on top you can remove the lower part to allow access under the sides of the vehicle. I also have the heavy duty ramps, rather than the basic ramps, so I can use them on my SUV too. Each ramp can support up to 2,500 pounds
