I think he is referring to the LT1 model is limited to 155MPH and the SS doesn't really have one, it runs out at 180MPH base of the info provided by GM.
Since GM released the LT1 as a street version only, they limited the speed, removed the track settings, additional coolers and wider rear wheels. I'm pretty sure I read the LT1 doesn't carry a factory warranty for track use which would make sense why it doesn't have a place for a tow hook. It will be interesting to see if a company comes up with a tow hook solution for those that want to mod and use it at the track.

I believe the 155MPH speed limiter is due to the standard all-season tires. I don't think the tires are rated for anything higher.
My LT1 came with a tow hook but I'm not sure where it hooks up. Are you saying there is no attachment point? Seems odd that they would include the tow hook but nowhere to connect it. |

With 455hp and the shape of the car, the true stock ability of an SS might be somewhere around 180ish or so. Will mention that the computer limiter would read from the VSS, and my stock car's speedo read ever so slightly low at over 150mph, so the limiter might not kick in precisely where the number says in the real world.

Just curious, what didn’t you like about the A10? All I’ve heard is people singing it’s praises so your comment sparks my interest. Thanks
