Manuals are to impress the guy sitting next to you (girls don’t care). Autos are for winning races (everyone cares).

That said, this is not a car I intend to modify, and it will likely still be under warranty when I move on to something else.
Don't forget they cost more to tune and mod lol! but I wish I still had 1 sometimes!

May have to work some OT and get a few grand extra built up to do it. But i hate working OT, would raher be at home doing anything else. lol
You are talking about spending a lot of time (OT) and money just to eliminate that third pedal.

Today you want to trade a M6 for an A10. In a few years something else better will come out, what then?

Someday you will wake up in the morning and wish you had $10K to put down on a house, engagement ring, or vacation and regret not saving/having the money. Trust me we have all been there.

Keep the car and enjoy the manual shifting. Then when you have it paid off, consider your next project or purchase.

I have only driven manual sports cars and grew up with manuals. That is what I was weaned on. 3 on the tree, 283 V8, 4bbl with automatic overdrive. You shift into 3rd, left off the gas and it would shift into 4th gear overdrive. Mash on the gas and it would downshift and go. Great half manual half auto.

So it is manual all the way for me. But now sadly the ZL1 is gone and I have the Silverado with the 6.2L and A10. I must say, the A10 is an amazing tranny. Just floor it and it is to 60 mph so very fast. It lives in the highest rpm's like it is eat chips and dip as fast as it can shovem and does not stop until it is there. No auto transmission I have ever had is like this.

See if you can get the A10 for a couple of days. Dealers these days might let you. Give them your car and drive the A10 and see if it is for you. Dealers have done that for me before. Make up your mind. Because once the manual is gone, sniff, sniff you might miss it and no going back.

2cents.

I had an auto in my.mustang. I'll never get an auto sports car again. It's just boring. Even on YouTube guys just flooring their heavily modded autos and the look on their face is boredom. If I go auto again it won't be a performance car.

Love my manual, but have to admit if I was north of 1000hp, like you, I'd probably go A10!

If I was drag racing all the time, auto. But this is my fun car, and I want to DRIVE it. Also, if you plan on keeping it, look at any collector car auction. What brings all the money? A proper stick.

Does anyone ever talk about a big block Vette with an auto? Nooooope, 4 speed.
Does anyone care about a Ferrari with an early F1 gearbox vs a proper gated manual? Nooooope.
Notice how many special edition Porsche’s aren’t PDK’s and are proper manuals?

Picking up what I’m putting down?
