Its really not much more for the Lt4 fueling. Either blower you choose will drive like stock until your in boost, an NA car won't and I believe you'll spend more on that setup because of the additional labor involved to do the additions as King said and you will still be limited on the power you can make where with a blower the options for more power will continue to grow. They both have pro and cons, your check book will tell you what to spend and the amount of power you may want to make someday. Do it right the first time as King said. There are some very good tuners in the Colorado area but the 3 that king named are among the best on this Gen6 platform.

I had the stock tune at first and the car was amazing. Drove like stock and was a blast on the street. However, I didn’t have the stock tune long enough to do anything with it. I remember we had a dyno and it was running 6-7psi. Then my craziness took over and all hell broke loose and more upgrades got underway.

To the OP, I was with you SC’d Mustangs and Vettes before the Camaro. You know the illness. You will see many people on this forum who are passionate about the choice they made. They believe they made the “right” choice so they will fight to defend their decision.

Reality is, there are a bunch of nice options and the best move is to find the tuner you want to work with, discuss your goals and objectives and then go with it.

I started on the Camaro knowing how bad the Mod fever can get from my other cars. I know what it was like to take a car too far...and my wife wouldn’t ride in it. Now I took the Camaro a little further than planned, but it’s great. I can drive it daily or at the track. Fun times.

I have the Whipple and honestly the canned tune they sent me has all kinds of weirdness .. car would surge at low speeds in traffic, a lot to try and list here related to jerkiness in throttle behavior. A beast when stepping on it but a lot to be desired for casual driving.

Car is in shop now getting a real tune/Dyno time. I'm mostly saying sometimes canned tune can lead to less than daily driver scenerio. Canned tune doesnt always mean "smooth" sailing.... Just based on my personal experience with the Whipple tune.

Can't wait to get car back.

@OP Best wishes

Now that's good info and advise. Glad you understand drivability in the tune is huge. Sounds like a custom tune is the bomb. But!!!! What happens on a road trip when we go 4500 ft down in elevation. I dont know why I worry about that as the longest trip the car has made is 30 miles
