Best place is http://www.valentine1.com/

I think that is the only place you can get a new one, but I may be mistaken. The problem with buying a used one is that it may not have the latest upgrades, and sending it in could cost a couple hundred $, so best to buy from the source.

I also appreciate the fact that very few are motivated enough to even turn their radar systems on and off so we get plenty of warning before being clocked.
It's a beautiful thing!

The 9500 still works great as a detector but my Lord are the false alarms killing me with all the blind spot and radar guided cruise controls out there now.

I just went to the V1 website. I know website presentation isn't always an indicator of product quality, but Valentine's website still looks the same after 20 years. Still has that same picture of him in his lab coat from like 1995. He should be retired by now he's probably that old.
Yeah, I don't think they put much effort ($) into web design. I would rather have a bare bones web site and have the $ go into product development. I went to their site not long ago and noticed they were "temporarily out of stock". I am by nature curious, and eventually it got the better of me, so I called them on the phone. After a little friendly conversation with the customer service person, she told me that they were awaiting a shipment of parts, and as soon as that arrived, they would be building new units. Hopefully, it won't be long. Personally, I think it would be worth the wait. They're pretty nice on the phone, maybe they could put you on a waiting list or something?

Of course, there are other folks on this site who like other units and say they are better. I am skeptical, but can't say for sure.

That’s one of the things I like best about owning a Valentine One (since the second year they were available!) - great customer service, plus quick access to an engineer if you have a specific vehicle problem or technical question.

I can remember using my V1 in conjunction with a CB radio, good buddy - now a V1 plus Waze on the dash display are the best combination.

I recommend the Radenso Pro M, and it has the best blind spot monitor filtering, so you get the least false alerts. My second choice would be a max360c
