I had a car(RX-8) with suicide doors and it's pretty great. The rear seats aren't the most spacious, but definitely better than the Camaro. You get the Coupe look and some practicality of the Sedan.

RX-8 used to be a good way to troll an insurance company because it is a 4-door (Coupe) with a 1.3L engine(that made 232 BHP because rotary), so it used to be really cheap to insure them. I'd think most insurance companies have wised up at this point, however.

The only thing would be that it probably won't play too well with the convertible. At least on the RX-8, the roof is a pretty important part of the structural integrity. That's why it never had a convertible version(outside of one or two parade cars used in Japan).

It definitely depends on whom you buy it from. I haven't had personal experience with them so I can't say for sure, just relaying what I have heard.

I now understand the desire for these when parking is tight. My old lady has beaten the crap out of passenger door opening it up like a bat out of hell every time she gets out. On the bright side though I can really examine the quality of metal underneath since so much is showing

I had a 2004 RX-8 GT with the Appearance Package. LOVED that car!

I will deal with squeezing my fat ass out of a tight spot or close to another car before i would put Lambo doors on my car. Just does not look right to me.

Besides, if you are able to park that close, the guy next to you will bash your doors/body they open theirs.

OMG, that would be the end of it ALL for us! How can you possibly put up with that after dropping 45k?

Windows do that little 1/2" dip/rise when doors are opened or closed to tuck up under the roof. Doors swing out a bit before going up, so no issues here.

I'm like an 1" away from the glass of the door hitting the garage opener... I'd hate to see any vertical height limits your wife could find whipping the doors up!

P.S. Since I had the car out this weekend shooting video, here's more shots with the doors up. Oh, and maybe I should move the rear shot to whatever thread people are hating the rear/side louvers on!

I actually like the louvres on your car. Not sure how’d they’d look on mine.

I think could work. If you had silver wheels I wouldn't do it. But the black / red could all work together.

I've blacked out every part of chrome/silver on the car except the front flow tie... haven't found a good way to do that yet. All badges were replaced with black ones, and the exhaust tips painted, etc.

Bubs - Your ride is a thing of beauty. The paint looks great! That takes skill on any car, but more on a black one.
