Another way that this is handled is cars that make significant downforce at speed, to help plant the rear better. If you were going to increase downforce (and actually drive at speeds where this is generated), put better coil-over shocks on there (not just aftermarket ones, but ones that actually improve on the damping rates), stickier and even wider tires, etc., then maybe a stiffer rear sway may be in the cards, but it's often a give-and-take situation. It's understanding the total effects of a mod. Some mods can be done without adversely affecting the rest of the car, but these are often the least "gains" at the same time. Mods that offer more gains often have to be done in concert with a bunch of other mods to gain the benefit or not create a negative effect.

It's very simple, for about the 100th time, GM did not maximize this STREET car's potential. I'll break it down even more. The sway bars are not the stiffest they can be for maximum performance. Read it slowly, stop over thinking what I am saying, and typing big long posts to try and sound smart, because what i'm saying is very simple...

This is absolutely incorrect FYI

Driver fatigue will severely impact lap times and repeatability, decision making abilities, and many other factors while on track. A well sorted car with good drivability characteristics for the environment will absolutely reduce this.

Additionally, a high degree of drivability and adaptability from the vehicle will make for faster cornering (I wonder why Ferrari has that 'bumpy road' button? hmm) as well as smoother transitions which impact overall laptimes greatly as well.

Professional racing teams also go to great lengths to make drivers as comfortable as possible in the conditions, which contributes to their repeatable performance and ability to extract the most from the vehicle.

So yeah, you're absolutely dead-ass wrong here. FYI.

I came across this post about the Hotchkis bars.

Poster mentioned his 2SS MRC NON-FE4 car was used for the development of the Hotchkis bars. If this is correct, then everything mentioned about their stiffness being based off the FE4 (SS 1LE and ZL1) bars is incorrect.

FWIW, I'm running the Hotchkis front full stiff and BMR rear full soft and this combo worked great for me at my last track day weekend.
