So far after about 2k miles I have noticed the 555s are close to grippiness to the NT05 and the wear is better. The only drawback I have noticed is the sidewall seems to be a little soft and feels like the backend floats under hard acceleration, didnt notice this with the NT05. Just my .02. Good Luck!
Thanks! I'll read up on those.

The speedo is off about 1 mph according to the tire size website.
Nice. Thanks man! I almost added these to my list. I'll look up more on them.

Sometimes wish I had it back because I know my 1le won't satisfy on the drag strip...and that's ok.
I won't be doing any burnouts, but with the heat where I live during the spring and summer months they should come up to temp pretty quick. Thanks for the reply! What kind of power were you putting down with the A8?

I really don't think there is a tire that dead hooks on the street from a dig. Otherwise we'd have heard about it. I think your best bet is the 555R or R888R or MT ET Street SS. That's my conclusion from researching this to death. Vette, hellcat, SVT forums. Of course you'll always have some bashing a tire...you have to expect that.

Oh yeah, there will always be the haters, comical really. Yeah, I guess it's down to the R888R or 555R, I've just seen more bad than good on the MT S/S for street use. Best for the track though out of the 3 apparently.

I loved my old MTs I had on one of my cars, but they discontinued them and replaced them with the S/S and many have said they just don't hook on the street like the older model.

I watched a vette with 767 to the wheels use some R888Rs on the street launching from 2,500rpms and they did very well. That's a little over 200 more that what I'm making, assuming his torque isn't far off. His tires were 345 wide, I'll be 285, but again... 200 less going to the wheels, so, I think that's probably what I'll go with and it work well, and if they don't work out for some reason, I'll try Nittos.

I'd still like to see how your Nittos perform first though. I've got 1 or maybe even 2 months before I make a final decision.
