I would do the ceramic coating first, anything to slow the rock chips/scratches/swirls. With the black I notice how fragile and easily damaged the paint is on these cars.

If you detail and coat the car yourself, you can likely fit both into your budget.

Anybody have a better way to secure the panel by the knee on the center console? It’s popped of on me twice now while auto-xing.

I'm like the original OP. After a 5 hour plus drive home from the dealership the plastic knee pad on the center console of my 1SS 1LE had to go. Ordered a set of the black suede knee pads and installed them in just a few minutes. They are much better than the plastic knee pads and look good with the 1LE interior.
Thankfully the knee pads are the only thing I currently feel like I needed to upgrade in the interior.
