My wife had a 2012 ss vert tuned with headers and cai. I had a 2013 2 ss rs supercharged. We traded hers in on a 2016 2 ss a8. That was a bad idea!!! I liked it so much I went and got a 2017 1 le and the a year later went to a ZL1 . Great cars

I had a '14 2SS which I loved...IMO there's no comparison performance/chassis/build quality between a 5th and 6th. Obviously the opinion on looks is subjective, but the performance really isn't.

Did not own a Gen 5, but spent some time in one via a rental (coupe for a month and then a convertible another month).
I really enjoyed it and almost on several occasions pulled the trigger on a 2014, then a 2015. In that time I drove a Mustang (1x for a month, then again for about a week) Convertible and also a Dodge Challenger. Now rentals wouldn't be the way to truly judge these, but I wanted a convertible, especially now being in LA, felt I needed one in my stable. That came down to 2 of the 3, Mustang or Camaro. My teens and 20's were spent on being referred to as Mr. Mustang. I had a 1967 Shelby GT500 and a 1970 Notchback (with nitro, no reflectors on back and a switch to manually turn off the tail lights). While I did own a Pontiac Trans Am (I hated the style of the contemporary Mustangs and could not bring myself to buy a Camaro - this was NYC, and they were everywhere). The Mustang. They lost me on the current styling. Looks like an old 70's Toyota Celica (which was a copy of the late 1960's Mustangs). While I still kicked the tires on the Camaro, it took quite a few years to just do it. 4 Months ago I came across the Hot Wheels edition. My dealer had the coupe, but I wanted a convertible. Then I decided, is that too much screaming for police attention (went through this with my Trans Am which was red, got pulled over every 5 seconds doing nothing). Almost pulled the trigger on a black/ tan 2018 RS Vert, which was going to take weeks to get from... Rhode Island. In my search, this board came up. I read through it and someone posted about a Fifty they saw in Orange County. I drove it home the next day. Aside from some of the issues I am having, this is simply an amazing vehicle. The power is amazing. The entire car is created for the driver to drive with absolute command. I have driven everything from an AC Cobra to DeLorean to a Fisker, this car is not a car, but an experience. Sorry for the long, historic post.

My 2 cents, My Gen5 SS is all muscle, NPP loud but still love it’s bulky look. Gen6 is more sports car like, sleek and faster, more refined.
