You do not have to accept their offer), went to a shop to get clear coat buffed, and used a paintless dent removal place to pop the dent. I received compensation for a full sanding and paintjob. Granted it was not repaired to 100%, I made $900 at the end of the day and nobody would be able to tell I was ever involved in an accident.
If there is a lien holder on the title to the vehicle I think you do have to repair it.

Think I'd check out the engine, since that is where the crunched exhaust was bolted to it???
And it would be tempting to measure the shoe size you have and see how well it would fit that dude's posterior---obviously was either too close, or wasn't paying attention. Very common around here.

I never thought about that. I purchase my cars w/ cash. That would make sense though.

I haven't heard from the adjuster yet, but first thing I will tell him is that the car is going to the the Chevy dealership. That they are the only ones I let touch the car. If he has a problem, we will just end the discuss and I will call my insurance and go that route. Again thanks for the input.
Im sorry for the accident but I can't help but be curious about something.

You noted it was a company vehicle.. Is it your own business or a dealership? I'm just trying to wrap my mind around a 50th Anniversary 2SS as a company car. Also wouldn't it be more of the companies problem than your own regarding insurance?

My dad and I own the business, so yes a company issue, but we are the company. We buy all our cars through the business and this is probably one of the cheaper ones :-). My parents all drive $80k Lexus's, most of our employees have $50k+ Silverado's.

As for the Insurance, yes company plan, but deductible still comes out of cash flow. And given our plan just renewed July 1 (Tomorrow) I didn't want any claims last week on the plan.

As for an update, the adjuster still has not called me. I am going to go through our insurance at this point, but will be out of town until Thur.

Is there anything else I should be asking the adjuster to look at when they look at the car?

Can I insist on the dealership working on the car?

I recently had the exhaust system replaced due to a rattle from the AF valves and have had the NPP valvue TSB applied to the car. From where the damage is (see pictures) are the AFV in this area or they closer to the engine and will they just cut the pipes and replace the pipes? Or should I insist on the entire thing being replaced again?

Will they apply a TSB if they replace the exhaust?
Sorry to see your FIFTY was hurt. Hope you are doing well. Insurance laws do vary a little state to state. Our insurance company guarantees the work for life on aftermarket arts (if no aftermarket are available they have to go with oem) and we do go to one of the many preferred repair shops here, but then again we have a good relationship with the shop too since my husband owns an agency. We have also had work done at a dealership & they took good care of us...as you can chose who you want the work done with.
