I'm looking into an 18" Square setup, and keep seeing that a 10" wheel with 25mm offset with 5mm spacer up front works. I just wanted to verify: Is this true for a regular 1SS with MRC, with everything else stock (NO camber plates, no other mods)???
(I was already leaning towards running the Hankook RS4 in a 285/35R18, this thread has helped cement that idea). I'm currently running GM Recommended "Track" alignment, but may see if someone can squeak out a tiny bit more camber. Is it safe to assume that wheel size won't interfere with camber adjustments? |

I'm running 18x10.5 +22 w/ 12mm spacer and have a few mm clearance to the shock tower (no grinding and max front camber). |

Anyone able to fit a square set of 18x10 or 19x10 with tires mounted into their cars for swapping trackside? I imagine it's impossible with our trunk openings.

Yep. Last season once I loaded all 4 18 x 10 wheels w/ 285/645 PZero slicks in my car along with a jack and tools. I believe I had one wheel/tire 1/2 in the trunk, 1/2 on the pass through, then 3 loaded in the back seat (folded down). The 285 width 18" was able to be loaded through the trunk.

Depends on what your goals are. If you want a square setup and also want to go as wide as possible, I think you are going to need spacers. The compromise would be either spacers in the front or a lot of poke in the rear.
18x10 you need at least a +20 offset in the front to clear the shock. 18x10.5 you need at least a +10 offset in the front to clear. Both of those setups would have a decent amount of poke if run in the rear. If you don't care about a square setup or maximizing width then you can easily get an 18" setup that doesn't require spacers. |
