Any 2SS's currently priced 30k or under are likely higher mileage or salvage.

Search from "the south".

I was also suggesting a purchase price of less than $30k (after haggling them down), not list prices.

That's theoretical. Most lower prices at dealers are tough to haggle but certainly possible.

As said in an earlier post, I got offered $30k for my 2SS as trade value recently. No way I'd let mine go for 30k private sale at this point.

Just an FYI, the '17 1LE is a 1SS only car.

1, at $30K, mind you, does not equal "plenty south of" $30K. How about you get back to us when you actually find one and put down your $$$

The 2SS is Great. I orderd mine because I could not find one on the lot Garnet red and Kalahari interior.

NPP dual mode exhaust is GREAT, as is the MRC. I live in an area where the roads are crappy.....so its great.

The Bose is pretty damn good IMHO....

Finally got to test drive one today. A dealer a few minutes from my work had a dark gray '16- 6MT, NPP, MRC, Sunroof, baseball glove color interior...pretty loaded car. 26k on the clock for $31.4k list price.

Took her for a spin and I really liked it. NPP is an absolute must IMO; MRC I'm not 100% sold on unless I drive one without it. Sport seemed to feel about the same as the suspension on my E92 335i. I like the clutch feel on my E92 better but the shifter was way better on the Camaro.

The SS drove heavier than my E92, even though it is only around 150lbs heavier of a car. I didn't get to feel out the handling much beyond an on-ramp, but I'd say with the stock wheels/tires, it is probably on-part with my E92 - with similar enough weight and rubber, that doesn't surprise me.

As expected, I loved the sound. Torque wise was similar to my E92 (which runs 2x stock boost), but no lag being N/A motor. The SS is faster for sure and overall a nicer powertrain experience.

Interior was nicer than expected, with only a couple things I think could be better addressed. I wasn't thrilled with how the seat was wearing on a 26k car, as it didn't look much better than the light gray seats on my 135k BMW. Speaking of seats, I prefer the feel of them on my E92...but the E9x sport seats are known to be pretty great. I despised the SS's trunk opening. Rear leg room was zero with the seat all the way back (I'm 6'3"), but I found it had more front leg room than my E92, so once put the seat into the same position as my E92 it was about equal. This is only important because my 7 year old rides in the back behind the passenger...she is the reason I bought my BMW instead of a Vette or Cayman S.

As mentioned, wireless charger didn't work with my phone, though not a huge deal. As expected, visibility isn't the greatest but I can live with that. I LOVE the HUD. I didn't play with the Infotainment center much to have a solid opinion but did notice it was too reflective and the sun isn't even out today.

Overall - I want one! If it was this fall, I may have did some negotiating with the dealer but I'm not quite ready to buy yet. At least I know for sure what I want!
