That still doesnt change my mine about the 18 GT, but I understand that no one cares about my opinion as you so eloquently stated as I wouldnt expect them too here. After all they dont know me. Others that do know me, well that's a different story. It all good.

LOL, trust me, some of these guys here actually do believe the GT is on par with the ZL1. Anyway, I do think the GT500 will beat the standard ZL1 and the ZL1 1LE in a straight line. On a road course tho I'd say it'll beat the standard AZL1 but not the ZL1 1LE. Although it will be a more comfortable ride than the ZL1 1LE. The main thing will be pricing. For the record, as much as I dislike the GT and the GT350(R), I have the utmost respect for the GT500. I think it is going to kick a lot of asses out there.

I guess time will tell. I know my wife hates to hear everytime I tell her about the next big hotrod coming out. I need to get me a ZL1 first. I doubt I'll be picking up a GT500 regardless of how much ass it can kick if the cost will be 100grand. I thought it was nuts to spend up to 70grand for a Camaro or Hellcat either. Well, here I am. Haha!
My 2010 GT500 was under $50. My how times have changed in eight years.

I'm sorry, you have to drop your lazy effort Zl1 shtick. You're a slow 1/4 mile driver. Just own up to it. There are plenty of people that just aren't able to muster good 1/4 runs...nothing wrong with that.

If you are too scared to take your car down the track without breaking it...so you baby it off the line...that is YOUR MAX EFFORT RUN. That's all you were willing to go. If you lined up to a lightly modded my18 gt and he smoked you by 1/2 second, that doesn't mean you were still magically faster because your car is more capable. You yourself just drive it slower.

At least I have one. What do you have? Oh right, still looking eh? Too bad. And I see your tone has changed since you talked all that shit just for the 18 GT to do nothing of what you wanted it to do. And you turned tail and disappeared too. LOL. So how does that crow taste? What're you gonna do now that the GT has been proclaimed to be the slower car troll?

He deep staged. And also adjusted air pressure. All normal things to do

He also waited for extensive cool down which gained another tenth. Not an option on a regular test night.

As far as removing parts or modding the car doubt it

We’re you bored of the Scat pack? Kind of an odd trade to an uglier car that is marginally faster and pretty expensive. I’d take a Scat pack over a mustang any day

Dodge's Build quality (AKA fit and finish) was awful. these new hp cars i buy are my play toys and not daily drivers. on average i keep them 1-1 1/2 years and then buy something else. I like the look of the 2018's and look forward to seeing if it lives up to the hype. mine is a PP equipped 10 speed without Magna ride or active exhaust.

at my local test and tune nights i can make back to back runs on a Friday night or space them out as long as i like so waiting for a cool down period isn't unusual.

The oldlady has been bugging me about her getting back into drag racing (she does not drive stick). I think a base GT, +drag pack 17" tires, shafts, driveshaft and loop, probably upgrade to a 3.73 torsen, supercharger with upgraded E85 fuel system would be a perfect setup for her. I'd still run my M6 SS cause "I'm a man" LOL.. about 1.5 to 2 seconds slower...

you profess to be a seasoned racer yet you keep saying you can't cool a car down on a t&t night....BS. I have cooled my car down between almost every pass I have ever made at the track.

You dont have to make a pass every time they call to load up or you run a fan on the motor in the pits if your serious.

fwiw I have made some of my best passes of a given night straight off the highway.
