Because the order was picked up in the first cycle and we didn't want to take any chances with another dealer exaggerating their availability, we agreed. Now we really wish we had stayed with the second dealer, who didn't request a deposit, went ahead with our order even after we cancelled it, and actually ended up getting that car (identical to ours) only about a week after we got ours - even though the order was picked up 6 weeks later than the first one! We have had serious issues with the dealer we went back to, and with hindsight feel like we should have taken our chances that the second one really had the allocation they claimed - but there are so many stories like the OP that we just felt like we had to take the "sure thing".

1. When did you place your order? M6 or A10? 23-Feb-17; accepted by Chevy 9-Mar-17 (M6)
2. Did the dealer ask for a deposit? Yes, first unscrupulous dealer wanted $10k, final dealer wanted $500 3. When did you get an order number? The day after I made my order 4. How long from receipt of TPW until delivery? TPW given to me on 20-Mar-17; TPW 4/3; Delivery was on 17-Apr-17
