Not sure if you saw my other reply, but I did take it in and they basically shrugged it off.
Thing is, I'm annoyed at either of the two prospects. 1 - The noise gets worse and they eventually have to replace the heads. 2 - It makes this noise for the rest of its life. Either of those, suck. I'd rather have them just fix it, but I know I'd be without the car for weeks. But for now, I hear the noise all the time since that rev range (1600-2000) is right where I run it a lot just cruising around, to/from work, etc.

Here's a new video I got today. I'm starting to hear it between 2000-2400 rpm now.

FWIW - my fifth gen was a cam bolt-on car and it started making the same sounds as yours at only certain rpms. I was concerned and everyone else including the shop who did the cam install said - don't worry - the valve train noise is normal for a cam/header car. I decided to just live with it as maybe I was just paranoid for no reason. Well, 17 K miles after the cam swap the lifters and cam started eating each other, a lifter turned and the roller tip started skidding over the cam lobe instead of rolling over it. Bottom line - I had to rebuild the whole top end. I wish I had not ignored the situation and taken the car to another shop to have the valve train fully inspected to rule out what my gut was telling me. I wish you the best and keep us posted.

Update - 1,000 miles later, it's still making the same noises, unfortunately. I switched to Pennzoil's Euro L 5w-30 Dexos2 oil about 500 miles ago which hasn't helped the noise at all.
I think i'm going to schedule an appointment with the dealer to have them really investigate this and also have them take care of some other things while I'm there. I have a feeling the noise is going to get worse and worse until something major happens. In the meantime, it's actually a little embarrassing as I've had some friends ask what the noise is.

Mine has sounded 100% identical for the last 10k miles. @19k now. Many LT1 SS's Ive seen in my car club also sound the same. I think its a combination of a noisy valve train (as mine seems to have gotten slightly worse with mileage) and the high pressure injectors. If the dealership finds anything, please keep us posted.
On a side note, if you've switched oil weights and noticed no change in the noise, then its likely just the injectors. European brands (especially luxury brands) do a lot to hide the injector noise on DI engines. Frankly, they are on another planet when it comes to build quality and comfort (ever listen to a diesel audi?) My mini cooper had quite a bit of sound insulation integrated in parts around the engine to quiet the noise. EDIT: Holy necro batman! How'd I do that?! Well, I guess the OP's car is normal.

Actually, after doing an oil change and putting in some Valvoline MST 5w-40 dexos2 for a track day a few weekends ago, I almost immediately noticed a lot less noise. The lifter tick at 1700 and 2500 rpm went way down, but it is definitely still there. I'm still running the oil. It's annoying/distracting, but I'm just keeping my dealer updated and reminding them whenever I take it in for service.

Wait, what? The oil is now supposed to be 0w-40 for all time use? I thought that was just for dry sump vettes. I just changed the oil and put in 5w 30. Is there a copy of the bulletin for Camaros somewhere? |

Basically, any of the oils (and oil grades / viscosities) which are on the Dexos2 certified list are approved for our motors. There are a number of W40 oils in there as well, which are perfectly safe to use:
