Some of these guys just don't know that Youtube is just a business. You guys should check out sites like socialblade.com and it will tell you how much money some of these channels are making. While it's not your traditional sense of income, there is good money involved in it. Why else would these youtubers keep on making senseless videos one right after another. Ever wonder why at the end of the videos they always ask you to like and subscribe to their videos and channel? They get paid!

"Hard work" is very relative. If it was sooo easy to make money on youtube, everyone would do it.

That was a good way of putting the ass in assume. The guy with the C7 has even said it he has a good job and he makes money off his YouTube channel. I would assume this guys the same way. Believe it or not there are smart young people that can make money. They are a little douchey though!

It may not be your idea of "Hard Work", but most of these guys put in very long hours between filming and editing so you have to at least respect what they are doing, especially guys like Nick that work a full time job as well as put out a decent amount of content on YT. A lot of the YT haters really have no clue how much time goes into it, that's the only reason I don't have a channel, because the Air Force takes up 90% of my time.

You don't have to like them (hell I just watch them for the cars not their commentary) but you SHOULD respect them, it is a job for these guys, just because it looks easy doesn't mean you could do it and be nearly as successful as them.

I generally judge a youtube video in 10 seconds. My main criteria is whether I believe the material is trustworthy and if I can respect the vlogger. If my DB needle starts wiggling then it's best I move on to another search. I gave these guys 22 seconds before clicking the close X.

SO, the obvious question is whether they are paying taxes or not. Are they contributing like the rest of us? If so, I can fully respect anybody's method of earning.

Thank you for your service. Most sincerely.

Video editing isn't hard once you've done it a few times. It's time consuming. But if you're filming and editing your hobby, it's not like work. And you work on it when you want for as long as you want.
Most of these young YouTubers have one thing in common... no wife and zero kids. I watch these videos occasionally just to see the cars because they're getting videos on cars that don't have a lot of other videos. That "business" model requires to always get a new "it" car.
My favorite videos are Saabkyle04. He shows a lot of the interior features that magazines and other don't show or talk about. He's very in depth and seems like a regular guy that loves cars. I get the impression he set out to make videos of cars so people could see the actual car.... no click bait.

Dang I'm glad most of you see it the same way I do. I though it was just me.

I can't get over all the love that pours out on YouTube for those two. Lie their asses off to get clicks and people jumping over themselves to buy cars from that idiot.

Wow...rough crowd here.

I do watch Mike and Nick's channels regularly. I also watch Matt Everett's Lethal Camaro channel (he's on here as Sledgehammer70) and AdamLZ.

I find the content on all four channels to be fairly entertaining most of the time. Lethal has the more "How To" content on his channel. The keyword here is entertaining. If the content starts to bore me, I just fast forward through that part or click off to another video.

Having done web development, which also included video editing, for more than 20 years, I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to create a semi-polished product. To make money from YouTube you have to upload videos on a constant schedule. I'm sure having to come up with new content that appeals to a wide audience is no easy task.

I'm spending more time watching YouTube videos these days because I find network television sucks. I considered it a good thing when I can be entertained for 15-20 min and learn a couple new things along the way. Plus Mike, Nick, and Matt are Chevy "fan boys" like most of us so they can't be too bad.
