My advice would be to ride with it if you are happy with it. How the car feels to you in the end for your preferences is what matters.
If I had a ported core here I would send it to you to test. If you like it, keep it and pay the fee. If it doesn't do what you want it to do, send it back. There are benefits to a ported TB but not if it gives you fits. It is a fine line walked by those that port TB's to get the max performance out of them and still have them drive absolutely like "stock". Stock isn't what we are going for, better with no issues is the goal.

I would definitely take you up on that if the opportunity arises. Depending on how an updated tune performs, I may just purchase a stock TB off of ebay and send it to you for porting. My current tune includes provisions for a ported TB so, I would just revert to that tune and see how things perform. In the meantime, if you happen to get an extra to send me for testing, it would be much appreciated.
