OR

Let's compare the ET from the Challenger coupe tested by Car&Driver at CPG vs the ET from the ZL1 by Car&Driver at CPG...

ZL1: 0-60, 3.4sec; 1/4mile 11.5 @ 125mph; 3933lbs automatic
Hellokitty: 0-60, 3.6sec; 1/4mile 11.7 @ 126mph; 4488lbs automatic

And this is a straight-line. Turn the "vestigial" steering wheel in the Hellokitty and watch the 6th gen ZL1 wave goodbye just like the 5th gen did.

You are correct. GM claims 11.4 on an unprepped surface. Both Motor Trend and Car and Driver have now backed up their claim. Put the car on a sticky track with good air and I believe we are going to see some high 10s. Both the auto and the manual will be tough for a stock Hellcat to beat, equipped with the same tranny. It will basically take someone driving the cat better to beat them, unless it's a roll race, which I've only seen one time on a dragstrip.

It seems like this is the same position you took when the 16 CTSV came out that was going to destroy the Hellcat. I'm still waiting for your link to show me where it has bettered this bone stock independent review of the Charger's time, after 2+ years I thought you would have found something.

At this pont when the ZL1 is reviewed and runs better than this time then you can claim it is faster problem is 11:50s is 4-5 tenths slower in the 1/4 and 5-mph slower in top speed. It may do it but not yet.

It sounds pretty brilliant to me...I've heard it said from several different people who had nothing to do with the engineering remark on how it seems to know exactly what you (driver) want to do just before you do it. It's smooth, firm, reactive, and subdued all at the same time.

It's got three completely different shift calibrations, based on driver input, all altered slightly by the selected driving mode...encourages the engine to make extra pleasant sounds and noises than normal...AND manual paddle control if you so desire. All packaged into a box no bigger than their old 6-speeds.

I know I'm not saying anything new...but when you put it all together - damn.

So you admit the above comparison was bogus apples to oranges and now you change your tune to CTS-V vs Charger? Hahhahhahahaa okay let's go there.

Drivers race from a dig.

Road&Track
CTS-V: 0-60, 3.5, 11.6 1/4mile at 126.1mph, 4128lbs
Hellcat: 0-60, 3.8sec; 1/4mile 11.9 @ 123.1mph; 4583lbs

MotorTrend
Hellcat: 0-60, 3.7sec; 1/4mile 11.8 @ 124.3mph; 4562lbs
CTS-V: 0-60, 3.8, 11.9 1/4mile at 122.0mph, 4128lbs
Hellcat: 0-60, 3.8sec; 1/4mile 11.9 @ 122.8mph; 4530lbs
Hellcat: 0-60, 4.2sec; 1/4mile 12.1 @ 123.4mph; 4530lbs

Car&Driver
Hellcat: 0-60, 3.4sec; 1/4mile 11.4 @ 128.0mph; 4592lbs
CTS-V: 0-60 in 3.6, 11.8 1/4mile at 124.0mph, 4129lbs

In standardized testing the cars are rather similar from a dig aside from the outstanding run by C&D in November air. Regarding that run, the first remark Colwell made about launching the Fatcat: "what a pain in the ass to launch". How many launches do I have to do to get an 11.4?

From a roll, 707hp Charger every time.

On a track, no comparison. Both cars made an appearance at Lightning Lap last summer. Want to guess how that turned out?

Lightning Lap 2016
2016 Cadillac CTS-V: 2:56.8
2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: 3:03.5

Que the newmoon excuses: but, but, but the Charger is cheaper and people only roll race and people are running 10's with only a tire swap...did I miss anything?
