Your dealer isn't wrong or stupid or whatever, he is probably repeating what GM says. Just bear in mind that GM will make the decision and throw it in your lap to disburse it.

Can GM read it or not really doesn't matter

Thanks Ted. As a former Monroe, CT nutmegger, I would certainly be patronizing your shop if I still lived in the NE, and boy do I miss all the twisty roads with beautiful scenery in CT. Nevertheless, I am fortunate to have another good shop near me, ADM. From everything that I can tell both of your shops are great places to go for mods.

I fully respect your position.

Hi Ted

How about just high flow front cats, rears still in also, 3" X pipe mid system with Stainless works axle back system. Would that deliver some good gains, and is tuning mandatory.

Id rather not have to tune it and tag my ECU just yet.

I have the Axle back system , Roto fab CIA , and ported throttle body now.

2017 SS1lE

Thanks for your input.

You can not get away with changing any cat converters without a tune.

Thanks Ted

That's what I thought, but still had to ask.

Cheers Dale

Is the tune required to avoid throwing CELs?

Ted, how are these Dynatech headers in comparison to the Stainless Works headers? Do they sound about the same and put out equivalent/comparable power?

thanks

If you connect any Long tube headers and high flow cats to your factory exhaust the sound will be the same about a 20% increase in sound level through the factory exhaust.

I'll probably still go with the Stainless Works catback. Just wondering if the sound will be that much different.

The cat back will sound the same with any Long tube header high flow cat combo.

We carry all this for you.

Ted.
