Yup, works best with water soluable polishes like megs 205.
Everything I do ,the priority is to spend the least time doing it. I really don't like Bustin my ass detailing… I want it effective, but I want it over with! LOL |

Did you switch off BF polish and seal after the first year?

Glen, I need to thank you for the IPA suggestion. I did my yearly paint correction and detail this weekend and used the IPA to remove the polish and wow, it comes off quite easily. It did leave some residue but, I used Adam's ceramic coat prep cleaner (I didn't actually ceramic coat) and it cleaned my finish right up for the Blackfire Crystal Seal. It was my first time using the Crystal Seal as well and man, that's such a good product. I plan on adding a coat of Americana wax on top of the Crystal Seal for added protection but, it looks gorgeous. Thanks for your guides and info.

Yup, …The paint is a little more "dirty" after a year, and TPNS is more of a paint cleaner than a polish, you need to move up one step to a true finishing polish. 205 Is still totally safe, you could use it 20 times with a clean pad and you won't abrade clear coat... Once again, don't get real literal and overthink this. You could use total polish and seal and be perfectly fine. Maybe just make another pass with the TPNS..... |

205 for the win.
I does a good job but it lets you see the bigger scratches left over I didn't do the Crystal Seal as I want to redo the polish with 105 to get the paint 'better'. Looks good for just 205 and BF polish and seal

Move to a slightly stiffer pad with 105....not the orange monstrosity that a lot of kits will give you, just one a bit tougher. Also raise speed to 70% of maximum. Like the pink or white here...or...... just make another couple passes with what you already own…
