Have any of you guys considered installing the Borla dual split exit on the cars that came with regular exhaust?
This:

To this:

Would need to swap the guard underneath the bumper.

For me: Briefly, but decided against it. Had a Trans Am with SLP Loudmouths on it, and it had big tips like when you've got single-duals, and I like that look, reminds me of my previous baby.
Plus, buying a new valence strips me of money for other mods lol. But it does look cool.

I thought of it as well cause they were taking forever for the single to come out. But this system is 200$ more for an extra pipe, and you still need the valence which is around 152$ from most gm parts dealers online.

Love the look, but not at nearly 400$ more.

I got it on sale, it was a good deal and I'm installing it myself. I'm just over-eager to get it, lol.
Yea, that's kinda where I'm at now as well. The 30th is next weds, and it's supposed to ship from TN, so it's relatively close.

Did the same with the BMR bits and the afe intake...but there's was in stock. Figured 3rd would be a charm. Gonna be a diy thing the same here. Easy to do, just like on the 5th gens.

BTW, you're down there by cocoa beach, right?

So can anyone tell me what's the difference between a dual mode NPP and a dual mode non NPP?

I thought dual mode exhaust means NPP.

Are you sure the valence is only $152? Is that the only part needed?

Dual mode is NPP. There's also a dual exit.

NPP exhaust is the one that has a valve you can open and close.

The dual exit exhaust is non NPP, and just has dual exits per side.

Last I looked it up. You are only replacing the lower black part of the bumper, not the whole thing.

Look it up on any of the GM parts oem sites. They have a diagram.

Thanks for the info Poly,

So you are saying some camaros come with dual exits on each side and actually do not have the open/close valve?

Yepper.
Perk of being at the Space Coast, getting to see things go into space.
Last night's launch:

And yeah, totally understand what you're going through, feel the same way, at least TN isn't that far. I don't know about the DIY you're speaking of, got a link?

Notta prob.

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm sure they anticipated some want the dual exit look and will buy a single exit exhaust and just add dual tips.

The difference between the he NPP aftermarket and the dual exit aftermarket is just a matter of the second pipe having said valve.

So of you don't have NPP, you can still get the look and performance of an aftermarket setup with dual exits tips.

This gen camaro is offering a lot of swapping functionality

That's what I'm all about. Went to Kennedy and took the tour back in August this year on vaycay. They delayed the launch 14 days while we were down there.

I'm about 3 hours from NASA Wallop flight facility and an hour from greenbelt. Wallops is mostly satellite launches.

Hoping one day to see a major launch like what the shuttles used to do.

DIY I meant as in do it yourself. That's the most fun part about new parts. The thrill of the install

Hi there,
Yes, dual mode exhaust is NPP. That said, we wanted to give people options so we decided to offer a 4 tip system without the valves for people with Non-NPP Camaros that want the 4 tip look. This requires a new rear valance to be added that accommodates the 4 tips just like you posted about here:

OK my question would be does the 4 tip system sound different then the non- NPP?
