If for any reason you have your seat set further back than most, or possibly further forward, the effects of wind buffeting are probably going to be different than for those who sit more toward the middle of the seat adjustment range. That, or maybe how high up your ears are relative to the car's beltline.

I think I know what you're going through - in our 4-door sedans, I can't comfortably lower the drivers' side window without also lowering the driver side rear window about half as far as the driver's window. It's probably a very low frequency buffeting phenomenon.

Experiment with various combinations of driver side and passenger side window lowering, maybe there's a combination that'll minimize what's happening.

I think the buffeting (thumping) is whats causing the uncomfort. Only feel it after longer drives.

On my commute home today, I kept both windows about 2" open to see if i would notice any difference. Left ear is still uncomfortable 2 hours later.

It really isnt a big issue to me, just odd that it only happens in the Camaro. I love having the windows down when its nice out.

It's actually possible. As was noted above it's likely buffeting that can be alleviated by either cracking the other window open or the sun roof it equipped. Here's another thread that discussed it also.

Keep trying different combinations, and do try different amounts of lowering, side to side.

Open the right window then.

You don't have a sun roof do you? I wonder if those that do have the same buffeting issue with everything open.
I know in my Honda pilot if I open just the front or just the back I get this issue, super annoying and you can feel it in your ears.

No, I have never noticed your ear hurting.
Is your left ear abnormally large?(hanging outside of the car and other cars mirrors hitting it when they go by)
Can you tell if its the wind coming in the left window that is bothering you or is it the wind from the right window going in the right ear and exiting the left ear?
Sorry.
All seriousness aside, I don't have a problem in the camaro but I do sometimes on my bike.

I get an irritating low frequency wind vibration w/ the windows partially open. It's the design of these cars, unfortunately.

The off-topic replies, yes.

But to the topic itself, anything affecting a person's enjoyment of his car is a legitimate topic for discussion even if not everybody who stumbles across the thread experiences the same thing.

You could start a trend?

Kidding aside, you should let your s.o. or friend drive your car on Sat. for same length of time, speed etc. to check if same thing happens to your right ear as a passenger.

Then have your ears checked out. You may have some buildup in there that once removed will alleviate this. (Buildup can happen even if your Q-tip exits ear clean and could still occur if your ear "feels fine" all other times.

If not, it could be an age related response. Meaning your body won't allow u to enjoy Windows-open driving any longer.

Thanks. I just ignore them now. It really doesn't affect my enjoyment of the car, just a little uncomfortable afterwards.
