It is definitely worth pursuing, as is modifying the microphone levels to preserve the ANC. If you amp the speaker signals, I can't see why you can't use some trimmer pots on the microphone lines and preserve the ANC.
Yep someone mentioned in one thread. I can't remember who, where, or what brand it was of course lol. But I remember it being $300-500 range which was too much for me for now.

Emoto, here's just something quick and basic on the subject. Not all processors are the same. The one I saw could effectively reproduce multi-channel setups needed for the Bose.

Dry, crisp, and clear. It's louder than my Colorado, but not as much base. Both are Bose.

Thank you, sir!

I can't spend that right now, either, but I want to start learning and maybe the aftermarket will come along after a while.

Sounds fine for a stock upgraded system...nowhere near the best in the world like B&O or some of those other fancy ones but will make most people happy.

Agree with the other poster that those rear deck speakers seem vestigial at best. I am thinking about tearing them out from the bottom (to take them out normal you would have to pull off the rear windshield in a coupe) and having my stereo guy place 2 free-air subs in their place.

First long drive in mine today and I enjoyed the sound it put out. I have always pushed the fade at least 2-4 notches to the rear in any car I have.

Sounds great with my high quality sound files. I still want more. Maybe a nice PnP kit with an amp would be alright.

I have noticed that the mylink in the 2016 Silverado has multiple sound settings for different music types, while I just have the basic manual adjustments.

It sounds pretty good to me, i have the bass turned up quite a bit but works. Beats the hell out of my $1000 aftermarket setup in my old car which had a 300 watt sub. The old aftermarket setup had more bass but the overall sound was not as pleasing.

If i don't want music i open the windows, sunroof, turn off the stereo and drop a gear...

The stock system in my Ford SVT Raptor blows the Camaro system out of the water. I'm not impressed.

Tins cans and piece of string sound better than this POS system.

/sarcasm

I'm happy with it, I have nothing negative to say about the system. It plays music fine. It would be cool to have a dedicated subwoofer like the Scat Pack receives as an option, but that can be added later.

First thing I did was bypass that shityy bose amp with a 5 channel Jl audio XD 700/5 with a 10 inch W3 sub, the Jl amp woke up the factory speakers and they are tuned for only mids and highs now, night and day in sound and clarity.

I wasn't that impressed with the system in my 1SS until I dialed in the tones and fader/balance settings. Now I think it sounds very good. I'm not going to change or add anything.

The 900 watt Harmon Kardon green edge in my SRT, makes my system in the camaro sound like a 1960 transistor radio.

With good imaging you should be able to close your eyes and "imagine" where the instruments are being played from on a stage. In other words it shouldn't sound like the music is coming from any one particular location but with this system the "quality" sound is all coming from the front. Also, on any song with a lot of bass that's all I feel on my left leg which rests next the speaker in the door which is kind of annoying. If you fade to the rear, it doesn't really help cause the rear speakers kind of suck.

With all of that said, it's decent for what it is an I can live with it.
Damn, and I was mad because my 1 ss doesnt come with rear speakers. A lot of guys probably have no idea there 1ss has no rear speakers just two empty holes. I guess it's good now hearing the complaints about them. Im just gonna put two woofers in the empty spaces..I think it sounds good already without them actually, so cant wait for some more BOOM.(I wonder how many 1ss guys are looking in there trunk to see lmao)
